The foundation course will provide learners with a deep understanding of the benefits, history, theoretical and pedagogical knowledge of nature education for children, while creating connections with their own purpose, drive and personal “why”. Learners will discover “how” to successfully establish and operate their own nature education program infused with kiwi culture.

Together we strengthen our philosophical roots, taking a dive into the big picture "Why" of nature based education and your own personal "Why" to develop a strong purpose, vision and voice for your practice as a Nature Educator. Only after we are strong in our why, we can learn the ways in which we can provide and deliver opportunities for tamariki. Next we strengthen our pedagogical roots and walk away prepared to begin or confidently continue your journey as a Nature Educator.

Feel inspired and motivated while engaging in 5 hours of small group learning set in nature with a shelter available for protection from adverse weather. (No rain will stop us!).
